Trinity United Church Groups

A Trinity Church Group is a great place to get involved and meet people. I feel like I'm making a contribution, and you can too.

Busy Beavers

The Busy Beavers maintain and repair the church buildings as well as the grounds.

Trinity's choir is led by Julia Budd, who is also the organist and pianist. The choir prepares one or two anthems every week, that vary in style from traditional to contemporary to gospel.

Girl Guides of Canada

Contact person: Veronica Heffernan

Meetings: Memorial Hall — Fridays, 7:00pm

Guides are girls between 9 and 11 years of age. Guides are encouraged to do service projects to help their communities. Guides learn about people in other countries and are encouraged to discover and explore issues which are important to them.

Meditation

Contact person: Aaron Miechkota

Meetings: Memorial Hall — third Thursday of each month (some months differ in location or day, see the bulletin).

Our Christian Meditation Group offers a small-group environment to learn and practice meditation. Our monthly group is gentle and simple. We begin with prayer and maybe a song. Each month we explore a facet of practice, followed by guided qi gong stretching. Then we sit for 20 minutes of meditation. Afterward, we often stay together to share and talk. Details: Beginners welcome. Ages 5 and up. To bring: comfortable clothes and a pillow to sit on or blanket to lie on.

Mission and Service

Contact person: Judy Ciciola

Meetings: Variable

The Mission and Service Fund is the unique way we as United Church witness to God's love, whether it be with overseas partners, in Canadian outreach, in hospital or university chaplaincies, in supporting small congregations, or in assisting intern ministers.

Scouts Canada

Contact person: Philip Massarelli

Meetings: (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) Church Gym — Friday nights / (Venturers and Rovers) Variable

24th Montreal Scout Group has been a part of the community in the East End of Montreal since July 1, 1911. Our Group has evolved from being a "Boy Scout Troop" dedicated to young boys between the ages of 12 to 18 to its present day role with Scouts Canada offering a fully co-educational program for youth ages 5 to 26!

Our younger sections (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) meet in the church gym on Friday nights. Our older sections (Venturers and Rovers) are more independent and meet at various places and times during the year.

Young Adult Group (YAG)

Contact person: Sabrina Heffernan

Meetings: Variable

Do you like food and music? Want to find out if a small group can make a difference? Ever wonder if other people have as many unanswered questions as you do?

The Young Adult Group was founded by people who embrace diversity and seek to be more involved with a community. Our activities range from attending concerts to organising ways to help a cause. Perhaps most often though, we hang out over a meal to talk, share and wonder.

Youth Group

Contact person: Sheri Cameron

Meetings: Tower Room — Whenever we can!

The Youth Group is a group of enthusiastic teens who meet periodically to hang out, organize events for our church, and participate in activities with youth groups from other churches.
