VBS Camp
July 1 - July 19, 2024
Stand true to what you believe.
Be courageous.
Be strong.
– Corinthians 16:13
Welcome to VBS 2024!
We are so happy to welcome you to our 7th Summer VBS: YeeHaw! Outlaws for God!
That’s right. We’re off to the Wild West. We’re going to saddle up and ride along through the Bible, learning stories of people who were “outlaws” for God. These courageous characters went against social norms (and sometimes even laws!) if that’s what it took to follow God. And you won’t believe who the biggest “outlaw” was … (spoiler alert)…he was born in a manger!
At Yee-Haw! we will be line-dancing, singing at the Round-Up, cooking over campfires, wearing plaid shirts and cowboy hats, and finding ways to follow God (but don’t worry, we won’t have any guns).
Our VBS is founded on the values of love, belonging, and personal growth – you do NOT need to be Christian to attend. But you DO need to be ready to use your imagination and have fun!
So git along, grab your cowboy hat and join us!
How Trinity's VBS Day Camp Works
Camp Activities
Each day begins at SonWest Round-Up with an exciting opening ceremony full of song, laughter, and special appearances by Happy, this year’s mascot. At the Round-Up, cow folk will hear about the day’s outlaw and prepare themselves for the day’s journey.
Working in small groups, cow folk will rotate through a variety of activity stations: cooking, crafts, science, mission, music, movement, and more!
In the afternoon we ride along to explore the city’s parks, pool, and other fun places, like the Planetarium and the Biodome.
At the close of the day, it’s back to the SonWest Roundup, where we wrap it with a closing and we discuss our God sighting.
Then, it’s happy trails to you as you hit the road and we see you back tomorrow.
Why Trinity's VBS Day Camp?
- a maximum of 20 campers gives our camp a family-feeling that makes campers feel at home
- small groups allows each child to connect to a loving counsellor
- fun, over-the-top immersion into the camp theme whisks your child into a world of imagination
- subsidized: no child is ever left out!
- coordinated by Sheri Cameron (a high-school teacher and our Family Ministry Coordinator), and led by young adults
But don't take our word for it...
"This is the only camp my child ever wants to attend. And that's saying something!"
- Suzanne, mother of a camper
"Best camp EVER!"
- Lili, camper
"There is just something special about Sheri and her team. They have a captivating sort of magic. We love it here."
- Jean-Michel, father of a camper
Camp Details
Our camp runs on weekdays from July 1 to July 19. We begin at 9 AM and end at 5 PM.
Cost per week: $80/child, but subsidies are available. This includes:
- camp t-shirt
- all outings
- transportation to and from outings
- all crafts and activities
All children ages 5 and up are invited to attend. Because we believe so strongly in providing quality programming to ALL children, we provide subsidies to families who need it. We believe strongly that no child should be left out of camp.
Here’s is what your child can expect on a typical day.

New this Year: Rise Up! Camp for Teens
Rise Up!
(and let your light shine)
Rise Up! is designed specifically with teens ages 12-16 in mind. Explorers at Rise Up! still enjoy the imaginative, creative side of VBS but have grown out of the traditional VBS model. They are teens looking to have fun with friends in an open, belonging environment.
Rise Up! Explorers have two options to suit their summer needs:
OPTION 1: Rise Up! Explorers help our elementary explorers as Team Leaders as they rotate through activity stations. Then after lunch, they break out into teen groups and work with a leader to design their own summer fun, all the while shining their own light into the world. (9 am to 5 pm)
OPTION 2: Sleepy Rise Up! Explorers skip the first part of the day but join in the breakout room after lunch! (12:30 pm to 5 pm)
Why Rise Up!
- Enjoy the summer! Summer is meant to be doing things – get out, have fun, and light up the world!
- You still get to be a kid and enjoy VBS – but in your way: pop in/out as you wish!
- Because it’s FUN!
Regardless of which option they choose, Rise Up! still costs $80 per week. Why? The activities the teens chose cost more, and the set-up requires the camp to have an extra staff person on hand.
